- Principal of Eau Claire Schools. Graduated from the Whitewater Normal School in WI in 1878. Teacher and later principal of Eau Claire Schools. In 1901 gave up school work, went to Everett, WA where he entered the book and stationery business. Was a member of the Baptist Church. In 1908 while campaigning as a candidate on the Prohibition ticket, he was hurring to the station when he was struck by a through train, never regaining consciousness. Following his death, the family published a collection of prose & verse which he had composed.
